The COVID 19 pandemic has completely thrown the world in chaos and the entertainment industry is one of the worst-hit.  Particularly the movie theater business has all but comes to a grinding halt and the staggered reopening measures are not showing positive signs as audiences are reluctant to venture inside the halls.

It has already been reported that many Hollywood theater chains are nearing bankruptcy and the latest announcement by Warner Bros has given a further jolt to theater owners.  The top studio has decided to title its next eighteen films simultaneously in theaters and the streaming platform HBO Max.

According to the new module, the first film 'Wonder Woman 1984' starring Gal Gadot will hit the theaters and also stream from December 25th and after one month HBO Max will stop streaming and the theatrical run will continue.

The exhibition industry has given a knee jerk reaction and stocks of theater chains AMC, CINEMARK, and IMAX plummeted down.  The films that are linedup next from Warner Bros are 'In The Heights', 'Space Jam': 'A New Legacy', 'The Suicide Squad', 'Reminiscence', 'Malignant', 'Dune', 'The Many Saints of Newark', 'King Richard', 'Cry Macho', 'The Little Things', 'Judas and the Black Messiah', 'Tom & Jerry', 'Godzilla vs. Kong', 'Mortal Kombat', 'Those Who Wish Me Dead', 'The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It' and 'Matrix 4'
