Vijay Sethupathi is a phenomenal actor in Indian cinema who can don any role with ease. He has constantly pushed his bounds and nailed every role from hero to villain. VJS garnered huge appreciation for his most recent role as the villain in Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan'.

Vijay Sethupathi is a highly respected person in the industry. Now, he revealed in an interview that he put down a chance to pair up with sensational actress Krithi Shetty to whom he played a father earlier. Speaking to the media, he said "I played the role of Bebamma’s father in the Telugu movie Uppena. After the stupendous success of Uppena, I signed a film in Tamil. The film unit thought that Krithi Shetty would be a good heroine for the film."

"When I received her photo, I immediately called the unit and told them that I essayed her father in a recently released Telugu film. I can’t approach her in a romantic way. So, please avoid her as a heroine,'' the actor shared. This news is now doing rounds on the internet. He is currently busy with 'Maharaja', 'Merry Christmas', 'Gandhi Talks' and some other projects.

Vijay Sethupathi went on to say "During the filming of the climax of Uppena, I noticed that Krithi Shetty was confused in a scene between the two of us. Then I encouraged and told her that I have a son as old as you. You are equal to my daughter. Carry the scene without any fear. I feel she is like a daughter to me, and I cannot think of Krithi Shetty as my heroine.
