Vijay Sethupathi the non assuming top hero of Kollywood is much in demand not only in Tamil cinema but also other languages as its his policy to only focus on the uniqueness of his character and not whether it is positive or negative. His confidence has been lauded when he agreed to play a pure villain to Thalapathy Vijay in the upcoming 'Master' and also a supporting role to an elderly debutante in 'Kadaisi Vivasayi'.

Tollywood media is abuzz that Vijay Sethuapthi has been approached to play the parallel lead opposite Power Star Pawan Kalyan in the Telugu remake of the Malayalam blockbuster hit 'Ayyappanum Koshiyum'. It is said that Pawan will play the cop portrayed in the original by Biju Menon and VJS will be cast in place of Prithviraj who played an arrogant ex-military man. The talks on this project is at a very initial stage and nothing is confirmed at this time.

The Makkal Selvan has teamed up with a lot of big stars including Superstar Rajinikanth in 'Petta', Megastar Chiranjeevi in 'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy' and Aamir Khan in the upcoming 'Laal Singh Chaddha'.

There is also talk that the Tamil version of 'Ayyappanum Koshiyum' is likely to have Simbu and Parthiban replacing Prithviraj and Biju Menon but official confirmation is yet to come.
