Director Vignesh Shivan recalled a challenging period in his life when he decided to call actor Pradeep Ranganathan for work, leading to their collaboration on the film 'Love Insurance Company.'
Pradeep Ranganathan's upcoming film 'Dragon,' directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, is set to release on the 21st of this month. The film also stars Anupama and K. Lokar. A pre-release event for the movie was recently held in Chennai, where Vignesh Shivan attended as a special guest.
Speaking at the event, Vignesh Shivan shared his admiration for Pradeep, having followed his journey from short films to feature films. He emphasized how great actors attract a loyal audience over time, and he believes Pradeep has the potential to become a true star. He added that future projects would showcase Pradeep’s rising popularity.
Vignesh also mentioned how personal experiences influence his songwriting. He recalled writing the song "Aiyo Maattikitten" for the film 'Podaa Podi' and how Simbu humorously advised him to refine his lyrics. Later, he wrote "Ellame Inime Nallathan Nadakkum," which turned out to be a breakthrough moment in his career, leading to more opportunities as a lyricist.
He expressed gratitude to directors who continuously supported and encouraged his songwriting journey.
