Video: Indian youngsters final moments of Nepal Plane Crash on Facebook Live

A Yeti Airlines ATR-72 passenger plane carrying 72 people crashed into a river gorge while landing at the newly-opened airport in Nepal's Pokhara city. 72 people, including five Indians were on board. According to reports, at least 68 people were killed and no one is believed to have survived. The reason for the crash remains unclear so far. A government official said, it is the country's deadliest aviation disaster in three decades. Nepal observed a day of mourning on Monday for the victims.

Minutes before the plane crash, a youngster from India went live on Facebook. In the video, the youngster is seen showing the Pokhara town and also pans the camera to show his friends who were all seen enthusiastic. Within a few seconds, the footage shows the plane making a fast left turn before crashing and bursting into flames. In the video, passengers' loud cries and soaring flames can be witnessed. Reportedly, the youngster and his friends had landed in Kathmandu on January 13 after performing puja at the Pashupatinath temple. They were heading to Pokhara for paragliding.

nepaleseMeanwhile, another video clip shot by the residents of Pokhara city is viral on the internet. It has captured the moments before the aircraft crashed. The film, which appears to be taken from the rooftop of a house in Pokhara city. The video ends with a loud explosion of the flight crash.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief and prayed for the bereaved families of the Nepal plane crash. "Pained by the tragic air crash in Nepal in which precious lives have been lost, including Indian nationals. In this hour of grief, my thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families," PM Modi tweeted.
