Is the TN government planning to reopen schools for classes 1 to 8 on this date?

The fatal second wave of the COVID pandemic has come down in Tamil Nadu last month. In September, the state is returning to normalcy gradually. The colleges and classes for 9th to 12th-grade school students have reopened from September 1.

After attending online classes for nearly 1.5 years, the students have returned to offline classes. But still, some students and staff are getting exposed to the virus and undergoing treatment. Now, the latest news is that the classes for grade 1 to grade 8 children might resume soon.

Tamil Nadu's Educational Minister Thiru Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi has revealed in a press meet that the talks are going on about reopening the school for classes 1 to 8. Educational Minister, who met the press people at Kodambakkam, stated, "The government is thinking about reopening schools for normal classes to the students of class 1 to 8. A conference will take place today evening with experts in the education department in this regard. The final decision will come out after the meeting. After the reopening, the schools will follow the safety precautions firmly. The Chief Minister MK Stalin is keen on abolishing the NEET exam and everyone should battle against NEET unitedly."

Following the reopening of offline classes to grades 9-12, the government has planned to resume schools for grades 1 to 8 and observe the after-effects. The final decision about reopening the elementary and middle schools in the state will be addressed in the government's official press release.
