Thandel Pre-Release Event: Naga Chaitanya Inspired By Real-Life FIshermen

At the pre-release event of Thandel in Hyderabad, Naga Chaitanya expressed his deep admiration for Geetha Arts, stating that any actor working under this banner is bound to achieve success. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti and based on real-life events from 2018, the film stars Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, with Bunny Vasu producing and Allu Aravind presenting. The much-anticipated film is set to release on February 7.

Addressing the audience, Naga Chaitanya thanked director Sandeep Reddy Vanga for gracing the event, appreciating his honesty both in filmmaking and personal interactions.

Reflecting on his role, he shared how he deeply connected with Thandel Raju’s character, drawing parallels to his own life. Chaitanya acknowledged Chandoo Mondeti for trusting him with the role and guiding him through his transformation. He also praised Devi Sri Prasad for infusing energy into the film with his music.

Chaitanya recalled his visit to Machhalesham, where he immersed himself in their way of life to bring authenticity to his character. He emphasized the struggles faced by these fishermen and their families, stating that their resilience deeply inspired him.

Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the event’s chief guest, praised Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi’s performances, remarking that their on-screen presence felt incredibly real. He also recalled approaching Sai Pallavi for Arjun Reddy, noting her continued preference for modest attire.

Sai Pallavi commended Naga Chaitanya’s dedication to his role, acknowledging Chandoo Mondeti’s clarity in direction. Devi Sri Prasad, drawing a nostalgic connection, mentioned his previous composition of a Shiva song for Nagarjuna’s Dhamarukam and his joy in composing a similar song for Chaitanya in Thandel.

Allu Arjun was supposed to attend the event but he skipped because of gastritis issues.
