The Tamil film industry is in deep mourning following the sudden passing of director Bharathiraja's son, Manoj Bharathiraja, who succumbed to a heart attack yesterday. His untimely demise has left fans and colleagues in shock.

Manoj’s mortal remains have been placed at his Neelankarai residence, where members of the film fraternity and admirers are arriving to pay their last respects. Among them, actor Thalapathy Vijay, whose home is also in Neelankarai, chose to walk from his residence to personally honor Manoj’s memory.

Images of Vijay paying tribute, accompanied by his close friend Sanjay, have gone viral on social media. Notably, following the Central Government's recent allocation of Y-category security for Vijay, police personnel ensured his safety throughout his visit.

Though Vijay has never worked under director Bharathiraja, industry sources suggest that he shared a close friendship with Manoj Bharathiraja, making his tribute even more poignant.
