Popular Hindi actor Sushant Singh Rajput starred in films like "M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story," "Kedarnath," and "Chhichhore." On June 14, 2020, he was found hanging at his residence in Bandra, Mumbai, and it was initially reported as a suicide. His death shocked the entire nation, and there were speculations about drug involvement.
Sushant's father, K.K. Singh, filed a case against his girlfriend, actress Rhea Chakraborty, for abetment to suicide. Rhea, in turn, filed a case against Sushant’s sister. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) took over the inquiry.
Recently, the CBI submitted its final report to the special court. The report stated that there was no scientific evidence to suspect Sushant’s death as a murder. It suggested that he may have died by suicide due to mental distress.
Additionally, the report clarified that actress Rhea Chakraborty had no involvement in his death, and many of the social media speculations regarding the case were misleading.
