The movie "Subramani" is written by director Vincent Selva, who has crafted the story, screenplay, and dialogues. It is directed by his former assistant Rahul Paramahamsa. The film is produced by S. Soundarya under the banner of S. Productions, with Pranav and Balaji co-producing. Akhilesh Kathamuthu is handling the cinematography. The lead roles are played by Richard Rishi as the protagonist and Divya as the heroine.
Speaking about the film, Vincent Selva stated, "The bond between humans and dogs has existed for ages. Renowned directors like Akira Kurosawa and Steven Spielberg have given significant roles to dogs in their films. Similarly, I came across a crime thriller story and decided to develop it into this film."
Richard Rishi plays a police inspector in the movie. A trained Belgian Malinois, a breed widely used in security forces across different countries, plays a crucial role in the film. To establish a close connection with the dog, Richard Rishi trained with it for a month, after which the dog developed a bond with him. The first phase of shooting has been completed, and the next schedule will begin soon," he added.
