Simbu's 49th film, titled ‘STR 49,’ was officially announced on his birthday. The movie will be directed by Ramkumar, known for ‘Parking,’ and produced by Dawn Pictures. The story is set entirely within a college campus, and the team has planned to complete filming between May and June.
The production team is in discussions with various actresses for the female lead role. Initially, Anirudh was approached to compose the music, but due to his commitments to multiple projects, he declined the offer. As a result, Sai Abhyankkar has been considered for the role of music composer, and he is expected to sign the contract soon.
‘STR 49’ is planned as a short-term project. Once completed, Simbu will shift his focus to ‘STR 50’ and ‘STR 51,’ both of which will be produced by AGS Entertainment.
