"Andhagan," actor Prashanth's much-anticipated comeback film directed by his father Thiagarajan, is set for release on August 15. As part of the promotional activities, Thalapathy Vijay, Prashanth's co-star from 'GOAT,' unveiled the film's promotional song titled 'The Andhagan Anthem' yesterday, which quickly went viral among fans.
However, the song has sparked controversy. The film's music director, Santhosh Narayanan, took to social media last night to express his displeasure. In a post, he wrote, "For the first time in history, the audio label is also playing a blind character - method acting? FYI, I donât charge a fee to check if the actual music/lyric/arrangement/mix/master is actually mine. All The Best Of Luck," accompanied by a Vadivelu image.
This cryptic message left fans confused, prompting Santhosh Narayanan to clarify, "This is not the music, lyric, arrangement, mix, and master that I deliveredâ¦." It appears that the filmmakers altered the song without his consent, igniting a significant controversy. As of now, the movie team has yet to respond to these allegations.
