Analysis:

Sankranthiki Vasthunam is one more film from Anil Ravipudi with his trademark family elements and comic portions. The film evokes laughs and thoroughly entertains the audience from the first scene. Again, the director's strength in clichés and farcical humor helps him win the bet.

The premise is straightforward: entertain without overthinking the logic or coherence of the plot. The film has no significant story as the kidnap drama flows based on the situations and the characters that arrive in these situations. Venkatesh’s tried-and-true formula of triangular dynamics involves a wife, a girlfriend, and a dash of chaos.

The film's first half is a high point, brimming with humor and fast-paced sequences. The scenes involving Venkatesh, Aishwarya, and the child artist are a big hit. However, the second half does not completely carry the flavor but has its moments.

The writing is inadequate. The director struggles to bring emotional depth to the proceedings. Despite having a couple of scenes, serving the emotion in the film, they fail to add any value to the project. The film largely banks on the performances as well as the comic elements.

Performance-wise, Venkatesh shines, balancing comedy with family drama effortlessly. Aishwarya Rajesh stands out as the dutiful wife, while Meenakshi Chaudhary delivers a commendable performance as the ex-girlfriend and cop. The child actor playing Venkatesh’s son adds comic relief with his quirky portrayal, reminiscent of classic Jandhyala-style humor. VTV Ganesh and all other seasoned artists are good in their parts.

Sankranthiki

Bheems Ceciroleo’s music is a major highlight, with catchy tracks like "Godari Gattu" and "Blockbuster Song. His background score also meets the expectations. Sameer Reddy’s cinematography is also impressive. However, the uneven pacing and lackluster writing in the second half will keep the audience unengaged.

Verdict:

Sankranthi Ki Vasthunam is a festive entertainer with its share of highs and lows. While the second half could have been tighter, the film delivers laughs. Venkatesh is in top form, and this Sankranthi gets extra colorful with Sankranthi ki Vastunnam. On the whole, it is a harmless, fun-filled family entertainer.
