Actor Ranbir Kapoor has stressed the incitement of cinema in causing meaningful discussions by taking a special mention of his latest film "Animal" for scathing up a productive discussion over toxic masculinity. Animal', which had come under fire for the portrayal of its women, misogyny, and extreme violence, has been tagged as a box office hit and premiered digitally on Netflix.

A video was shared on Netflix India's YouTube page where Ranbir talks about the relevance that cinema has been granted over the years for social issues. He noted that the cinema can release what is wrong, open conversations, and raise consciousness. Ranbir stressed how crucial it was for the actors to be empathic in their occupation, considering the responsibility of creating a certain opinion about sensitive events.

Reflecting on "Animal," Ranbir laid emphasis on the healthy conversation going through toxic behaviour, considering it as one brighter side in light of the release of the film.He maintained that to inform people about negative things, films are supposed to show all kinds of negatives, and ultimately, that will help improve society as the audience will feel that this is mistreatment happening to them and they need to react or act on it.

On "Animal," Ranbir played the character of Ranvijay, a do-or-die man out on revenge after an assassination attempt on his estranged father, played by Anil Kapoor. Sharing screen space with Ranbir were several other biggies, including Bobby Deol, who played the antagonist Abrar Haque, echoing the sentiments underlining storytelling as a society mirror.

In the sequence "Animal Park," Ranbir shared that the sequences are charted out thrillingly, and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga expressed confidence about going even darker, deeper, and more complex as per the outline of the film. The success of a part empowered the team to go into much more challenging narratives.

Ranbir and Bobby dished out the significance of cinema as a mirror to society, bringing diversified lives and voicing subjects that otherwise get silenced. They both contained that being an actor is sensitive, along with privileged work, where they share their two cents on topics of relevancy through their artistry.
