Rajinikanths shoot creates controversy

Superstar Rajinikanth is on a break after completing the first schedule of his next outing, directed by Kollywood director Siruthai Siva. The 'Darbar' actor recently flew to Mysore after a two and half hour delay due to technical snag that the pilot luckily detected during take-off and returned to home base safely.

Rajini was there in Karnataka to shoot for a documentary in Bandipur. Environmentalists have objected to the government giving permission to shoot in the sensitive Tiger Reserve. The crew is set to shoot for two days at the 100-year-old Iron Bridge bordering Kalkare and Moolehole at the Kerala border.

Nature activist Prashanth has alleged that the documentary's producers had sought permission in North India but it was denied and that the Karnataka government obliged. Rajini's involvement has been kept a secret mentioned as "Special Guest". The activists insist that film shootings disturb wildlife and destroy plants and therefore should not be allowed under any circumstances.
