Following the success of the blockbuster film "Jailer," starring Rajinikanth and Ramya Krishnan, a sequel is now in production. Sun Pictures is producing the film, with music composed by Anirudh and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. Filming began in Chennai on the 10th of this month.
Meanwhile, a scam attempt was made on Malayalam actress Shiny Sara, promising her a role as Rajinikanth's wife in the film. She shared this incident in a video conversation with actress Mala Parvathy.
Shiny Sara explained that she received a WhatsApp message stating that she was selected for the role of Rajinikanth’s wife, which she initially believed. Later, she was asked if she had an actors' association membership card. When she said no, the scammer offered to arrange it. She was then contacted by someone named Suresh Kumar, who asked her to join a video call wearing a saree.
After the call, she was told she was selected, but then asked to pay ₹12,500 for the membership card. Becoming suspicious, she delayed payment. When urged to send at least a partial amount, her doubts increased. She then consulted fellow actors, who confirmed that membership is not mandatory for acting. When she tried to contact the person again, his phone was switched off.
She warned others to stay cautious about such frauds in the film industry.
