Superstar Rajinikanth is one of the few heroes who enjoys a massive fan following across the country. However, director Ram Gopal Varma sparked controversy among Rajini fans by saying that he is not sure whether Rajinikanth is a good actor.
He went on to add that he wonders if Rajinikanth can ever exist without slow-motion shots. Speaking in a recent podcast, RGV said, "Is Rajinikanth a good actor? I don't know. I don't think Rajinikanth will do a Bhiku Mhatre (Manoj Bajpayee's role from Satya). People want to see Rajinikanth only like that. I don't know if Rajinikanth can exist without slow-motion (shots).
"I think if at the time of Charlie Chaplin, if there was a 24 frames camera, I think he wouldn't have become a star. He works only in 18 frames," he added.
These comments didn't go well with Rajinikanth's fans who are now trolling Ram Gopal Varma on social media. Meanwhile, the director, as usual, didn't care about any of these trolls on social media.
