Tokyo Olympics: PV Sindhu bags the bronze medal and becomes the first Indian woman to win two Olympic medals!

PV Sindhu had suffered a heart-breaking loss to world no.1 Tai Tzu Ying in the semi-final on Saturday. She was India's only hope for winning Olympic gold in Badminton. She would have been the first Indian to win the gold medal in Badminton if she had won. 

The dream of the nation faded away when Sindhu lost in the semi-finals of women's singles semifinals. But the Olympic champion never gave up and went on to win a bronze medal for the nation. 

Even though she lost the gold medal, there was a chance of winning the bronze medal in the match with He Bing Jiao of China. Sindhu defeated He Bing Jiao by scoring 21-13 and 21-15 in the bronze medal match. 

Sindhu was clinical throughout the contest and didn't give her opponent any chance in the match that lasted 53 minutes. She won the bronze medal in Badminton and scripted a new history. PV Sindhu is the first Indian woman to win two individual medals in Olympics. 

Previously, She became the first Indian woman to win an Olympic silver medal. Now, PV Sindhu is the first Indian woman to win two individual medals in Olympics. She won the silver and bronze in two consecutive Olympics, which is also a new national record. 

Indians are overwhelmed by her victory and started celebrating her. Her victory news in storming the internet. Our Prime Minister has wished her through Twitter for bagging the bronze medal at Tokyo Olympics 2021.
