Prince William has thanked people for the support his family received following King Charles's diagnosis with cancer.

The Duke of Cambridge, together with his long-time friend Tom Cruise, visited the London Air Ambulance Charity, where he expressed his gratitude to everyone who has been kind since the announcement of King Charles' illness.

Buckingham Palace confirmed on Monday that King Charles III is suffering from cancer and is under treatment. Prince William was made the Patron of London’s Air Ambulance Charity in March 2020 when his active duty as an air ambulance pilot went on for several years.

And later, the Prince and Princess of Wales posted in a light moment over the appearance of Tom Cruise at the charity event. Further down the line, they would pay tribute to the heroic work of the London Air Ambulance team.

The first time Prince Charles will be resuming royal duties after the diagnosis, Prince William will host an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle.

In the event, MBE award Patricia Spruce shared with the audience her conversation with Prince William when he commended the care his wife got from Filipino nurses when she had an operation.

Buckingham Palace says recent work to treat King Charles' benign prostate enlargement revealed a cancer diagnosis. The monarch will receive routine treatments and cancel engagements.

Sources said that King Charles told his siblings before announcing to the public that he had cancer.

Prince Harry has flown in from California to visit his father, who appeared for the last time with Queen Camilla before the operation.

Princess Kate is now in stable condition after the abdominal operation. She will soon resume her public duties after the Easter holiday, according to the recommendations of her professional doctors.
