A digitally manipulated image of actor Prakash Raj taking a holy dip at the Kumbh Mela in Uttar Pradesh recently sparked controversy on social media. The picture went viral on social media and many trolled Prakash Raj that one who does not believe in God is taking a dip at Kumbh Mela.
Some netizens, believing the image to be real, criticized him, questioning why he would attend the Kumbh Mela while identifying as an atheist.
Upon noticing the viral photo, Prakash Raj strongly reacted, clarifying that both the image and the accompanying news were entirely fake. He stated that he had filed a complaint regarding the matter and emphasized that the truth would come out in court.

Since it has now come to light that the image was generated using deepfake technology, we have to see how the courts will tackle this matter.
