Pradeep Ranganathan's upcoming film "Dragon," directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, is set to release on the 21st of this month. Actresses Anupama and Kayadu Lohar are also part of the cast. A pre-release event was recently held in Chennai.
Speaking at the event, Pradeep shared his journey, mentioning VJ Sidhu as an example of hard work leading to success. He recalled how some heroines hesitated to act alongside him in "Love Today," with a few even declining after learning he was both the director of "Comali" and the lead actor in "Love Today."
He further noted that some actors avoided the film saying it demanded too much performance, while others openly stated their preference to work only with top heroes. He thanked them all for their honesty. He also expressed surprise when Anupama was cast as the heroine, remembering watching her in "Premam" during his college days.
Pradeep shared an anecdote about director Mysskin gifting him something daily and how his makeup man once received a watch from him as a birthday present. He also expressed gratitude to Silambarasan (Simbu) for singing a song in the film.
He emphasized the importance of education, stating that he scored 89% in his 12th-grade exams and 80% in college, reading many books to gain knowledge. Addressing criticism, he compared life's struggles to a growing plant, saying those who support growth deserve appreciation.
