Renowned actor and martial arts expert Shihan Hussaini, who had been battling cancer for the past few months, passed away today. As tributes pour in from the film industry, Telugu actor and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has released an emotional condolence statement.
"May the soul of Shihan Hussaini rest in peace. His passing is deeply heartbreaking. I was fortunate to have trained under him in karate. Just four days ago, I learned about his health condition and even considered making arrangements for his treatment abroad. I had planned to visit him in Chennai on the 29th, but the news of his passing has left me devastated. I pray that his soul finds eternal peace."
Reflecting on his time with Hussaini, Pawan Kalyan recalled how the strict yet inspiring martial arts master initially hesitated to train him but eventually agreed after repeated requests. Under Hussaini’s rigorous training, he earned his Black Belt in Karate, which later helped him portray a kickboxer in the film Thammudu.
Hussaini's contributions went far beyond martial arts. He was instrumental in popularizing archery in Tamil Nadu, holding key positions in the Tamil Nadu Archery Association. Additionally, he was a gifted musician, painter, sculptor, actor, and motivational speaker. His wish to donate his body to a medical college is a testament to his selfless nature.
Pawan Kalyan concluded his statement by expressing his deepest condolences to Hussaini's family and honoring his mentor’s incredible legacy.
