Yes. We know we’re a bit late in addressing this cool movement. But guess what, we think it’s for the good. Some of you handsome men out there must have decided to go the hairy way this November in support of the ‘No shave November’ movement to raise awareness about cancer. And we’re here to help you do it in style!

Tip: We suggest you grow out your macho mustachios and beard throughout the month without using a razor on them (that’s the whole point, right?). Everyone’s different and so are their facial hair types too. So pick one from below which best suits you at that point of the time!

The Van Dyke

Well, this beard style gets its name after …well… Van Dyke. The chap was a 17th century Flemish painter. But that doesn’t mean it’s out of style. Even many celebrities like Johnny Depp have embraced this uniquely charming style. Shave off your chin leaving your mustache and goatee intact.

Pro tip: If you’ve got that little gapstache going on, twirl the edges of your mustache around to make it look all the more exquisite!

The Lumberjack

What’s it? A mix of lumberjack manliness and hipster hotness is what it is. Think Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan Gosling. No, you don’t require an axe go along with this style. The highlight of this beard is its fullness showed off effortlessly. If you can pull it off, we suggest you to. Psst…we heard that it scores well with the ladies as well!

The French beard

One can grow this elusive beard by going on a vacation to France. Bang! Wrong! We don’t know why we don’t get to see this style often nowadays. If you think it’s out of style, have you by the way heard of a man called Walter White? It’s beard style that adds maturity and sophistication of a college professor even to a drunkard. But we do hope you don’t belong in the latter category.

Get clear on this: Unlike a Van Dyke, the French beard is full and complete with no gaps between the mustache and the beard.

The Stubble

A favourite among the ladies, but have you got the heart to get rid of about 95% of your month-old beard in order to achieve this look? If bearding seems like a stifling and discomforting journey, then we suggest that you should go along with this look. A fine stubble is around 1mm to 3mm in length. Or to keep it easy, it’s about three days of growth from a clean shaved face. To make it more sharp and corporate, try using the razor to shape out the edges.

The Patchy beard

Or the ones that aren’t able to grow a beard. We men understand that the society objectifies us as much as it does women. So if you’ve got a patchy beard and still decided to go on this No shave November for a good cause salute to you! You’re as good as you look, there’s no doubt. Because the ability to grow hairs on your face is not a measure of manliness. Imagine if it really was, how funny it would be? As long as the spirit of No shave November and the cause behind it lives within everyone, it’s cool!

We know we missed out a lot of beard styles. If you’re rocking one that we haven’t listed or if you’d like add some styles to the list, be sure that we’d be the first ones to notice!
