Nani's much-anticipated film, "Hi Nanna," is set to hit screens this week, and the actor has been actively promoting the project. However, the pre-release event, held recently, stirred controversy when the film's unit, including Natural Star Nani, faced criticism for showcasing pictures of Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna.
The event took an unexpected turn as it displayed images of Vijay Devarakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, insinuating an official relationship between them. This move was deemed a serious breach of privacy, as a star hero's event was seemingly used to mock another hero. The incident left many surprised and disappointed.
In response to the controversy, Nani, during a recent interview, took responsibility and issued an apology for his part in the event. Clarifying that he had no prior knowledge of this segment, Nani explained that someone from the event team might have acted impulsively and decided to use the pictures.
Acknowledging that pre-release events involve several individuals, Nani expressed his belief that Vijay and Rashmika, whom he considers part of his close circle, likely took no offense. Nevertheless, he extended a sincere apology, stating that if anyone was hurt by the incident, he deeply regretted it.
In his own words, Nani said "âThere are several people involved in a pre-release event and it could have happened that someone used this picture in their excitement. Vijay and Rashmika are my people and I am sure they would have not been bothered about this. But, if it did hurt someone, I would like to extend my sincere apologies."
"Hi Nanna" is scheduled for release on December 7th and features Mrunal Thakur as Nani's co-star. The film is produced by Mohan Cherukuri (CVM) and Dr. Vijender Reddy Teegala under Vyra Entertainments, with debutant Shouryuv directing the project.
