The film 'Manushi,' produced by Vetrimaaran, is caught in a censorship controversy. Directed by Gopi Nainar, the movie stars Andrea in the lead role. The first look and trailer received a positive response online. As seen in the trailer, Andrea's character is arrested by the police and subjected to intense interrogation and torture.
The filmmakers applied for certification, but the censor board suggested multiple cuts in scenes and dialogues. Disagreeing with this, they reapplied in Mumbai, only to receive similar feedback. Eventually, the team agreed to make the necessary changes to obtain censorship approval.
The revised version will soon be resubmitted for certification. 'Manushi' is produced by Vetrimaaran's Grass Root Film Company and features Andrea, Nassar, Tamil, and Hakim Shah in key roles. Gopi Nainar, known for his film 'Aramm,' directed this project.
