Actor R. Madhavan is set to portray the life story of G.D. Naidu, known as the 'Edison of India'. The film is written and directed by Krishnakumar Ramkumar, who has previously worked on advertisement films.

The movie is produced by Vijay Moolan and Varghese Moolan under Varghese Moolan Pictures. Additionally, R. Madhavan and Sarita Madhavan are co-producing the film under Tricolor Films. Aravind Kamalanathan serves as the film's cinematographer as well as its creative producer.

Vijay Moolan stated that films showcasing the achievements of notable Indians are essential for today's generation. He added that the movie, titled ‘G.D. Naidu – The Edison of India,’ features R. Madhavan along with other leading actors, whose names will be announced soon.

Most of the shooting will take place in Coimbatore, with some scenes planned in locations abroad, including Germany. The project has already undergone two years of pre-production. The filming is set to begin this month in Coimbatore, and the official title announcement is scheduled for the 18th of this month.
