The recent demise of legendary actress Sridevi made an entire nation go into mourning. However, the 65th National Film Awards were announced and the actress was awarded the Best Actor(Female).

Sridevi has been bestowed with this award for her riveting performance in the Bollywood movie ‘MOM’. It is also worth mentioning here that this is Sridevi’s very first National Award. Even though ‘MOM’ was made in Hindi originally, it was dubbed in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. It would be also interesting to know that Sridevi rendered her own voice for all the four versions!
