The teaser of Om Raut's Ramayan adaptation 'Adipurush' met with severe criticism and backlash last year for it poor depiction of Hindu mythological figures and its cheap visual effects. As a result, the film which was supposed to release in January was postponed for six months. In a recent media interaction, Kriti Sanon stated that she was put off by the audience response to the teaser as it was quite unexpected.
According to a report The Indian Express, Kriti said, "Obviously it did a little (put me off) bit, because it wasnât expected. But I think the makers took it in the spirit, where I think any sort of feedback thatâs coming from people should be heard. You just listen to and see how much of it is true and sort of make those corrections if needed."
However, despite the backlash, Kriti still has a positive feeling about the film. She says, âThe reaction that came that time, was not expected. We didnât expect it. Having said that, I still have a very positive feeling towards the film. Because I know what the content is, and I know how Om has made it. I know the scenes, the dialogues. Right now, you have not even heard one proper dialogue. There is a lot! Just let it unfold and then you will see the magic."
