In last few years, Kartik Aaryan has emerged to be one of the most popular stars of Bollywood. Even during the struggling phase of Bollywood, he delivered a superhit in the form of 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' and he will soon be seen in the upcoming sequel of 'Hera Pheri' franchise. Since both these projects originally starred Akshay Kumar, fans have accused Kartik of stealing Akshay's projects.
When questioned about the same during his appearance on Rajat Sharma's 'Aap Ki Adalat', Kartik stated, "I am a big fan of Akshay Kumar Sir. These calls are made by the producers and directors. I did not want to do these roles, but I got the offers. Producers and directors feel they can put the sequels on my shoulder."
He added, "They know how professional I am, and how I can be creatively involved. Itâs not that all sequels become hits. There is more pressure to perform in sequels. Maybe they (producers) saw my work, and thought I would perform better in the sequels, from whatever genre, whether romance, horror or comedy.â
For the unversed, few months back Akshay had announced that he won't be reprising his iconic character Raju in 'Hera Pheri 3' and soon after that, makers announced Kartik Aaryan as a new addition to the cast. This led fans to believe that Kartik is going to portray Akshay's character.
