It is already known that Karthi's 25th film, 'Japan', is being directed by Raju Murugan. Produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, the movie is a heist thriller featuring Karthi in dual roles. Today, Karthi celebrates his birthday and the makers announced the film's release date with a special poster at 12 AM.
The poster shows Karthi in his quirky thief look with a few golden teeth. Japan is all set to storm the screens worldwide on the Diwali weekend. It is worth mentioning that reports broke out earlier that Japan's release is advanced to Vinayagar Chathurthi (September) owing to the release of the other biggies but the team hasn't made any changes in the release.
Japan will be clashing with Dhanush starrer 'Captain Miller' and SJ Suryah & Raghava Lawrence starrer 'Jigarthanda Double X' at the box office. The Captain Miller release date is yet to be announced officially, however. Anu Emmanuel is playing the leading lady in Japan while director Vijay Milton plays a pivotal role.
The shooting of the movie is expected to be wrapped up by June. The technical team includes GV Prakash as the composer, Ravi Varman as the DOP and Philomin Raj as the editor. On the work front, Karthi has an untitled film with director Nalan Kumarasamy, 'Kaithi 2' with Lokesh Kanagaraj and 'Sardar 2' with PS Mithran.
Wishing the dynamic & versatile actor our hero @Karthi_Offl, a very Happy Birthday ð
