Much-anticipated film "Jawan" makes a global debut today starring Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara, through which audiences were impressed by the on-screen chemistry of the lead pair and stellar performances by Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Ridhi Dogra, and formidable antagonist Vijay Sethupathi.

The early reviews have established that this movie is poised to shatter box-office records.

Filmmaker Karan Johar paid tribute to his close friend from the fraternity, saying he was blessed with an eternal charm, through a captivating image earlier in which SRK exuded his timeless charm with a rugged look. In the caption, it simply refers to him as "Emperor," a term coined for the stardom of SRK.

The day has turned into an elaborate festival that Shah Rukh fans have made it—parades, dance performances, cake-cutting ceremonies, even fireworks to provide a festive atmosphere. It's all been captured on social media in hundreds of videos and photos.

On release day, Shah Rukh thanked his fans and well-wishers for the support he's received in a post on social media: "I will try and give as much love back."

Early indications point to "Jawan" opening at Rs 62–63 crore, an all-time record for Indian cinema, across India with its nationwide release. Such an opening is expected to earn between Rs 67 and 72 crore, another all-time record pending the evening shows' performance.
