Kamal Haasan to make a brand new technologically innovative movie after lockdown

Tuesday, July 14, 2020 • Tamil Comments

Kamal Haasan is celebrated as the Ulaganayagan not only for his unparalleled histrionics but also for ushering in many innovations to Tamil cinema in his five decades as an entertainer. Right from advanced makeup to digital sound he is the pioneer in Indian cinema.

Kamal is also the first one to embrace new technologies and even tried releasing his 'Vishwaroopam' on DTH which was then opposed but now many producers are trying for a direct OTT release due to the coronavirus effect.

Now the hot news is that Kamal keeping in mind the restrictions that are going to be enforced for the next many months due to the virus has now written a brand new screenplay. According to sources the story is set in such a way that only a minimal number of cast and crew are required.

It is said that once the COVID 19 situation comes under control and film shootings are given permission Kamal would begin production on the new project. As of now, it is unclear whether he will act or direct or would remain as a just producer and give the other departments to his assistants. There is also talk that the new film could be a direct to OTT release as well. More details are awaited on this exciting development.

Kamal is also committed to complete his 'Indian 2' directed by Shankar once the situation eases. The film produced by Lyca Productions has Kajal Aggarwal, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Rakul Preet Singh in the cast. His directorial venture 'Thalaivan Irukkindran' with music score by A.R. Rahman is also in the anvil but could be delayed because it is a huge project needing a big cast and crew.

Kamal is also planning to produce 'Thalaivar 169' starring his close friend Superstar Rajinikanth and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and this again will go on floors only when the virus is chased out of the Indian or rather the global soils.
