Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor has expressed deep outrage over a recent car accident in Vadodara, Gujarat, that resulted in the death of a woman and left several others injured. The incident involved a 20-year-old law student, Rakshit Chaurasia, who allegedly lost control of his vehicle, leading to the tragic collision.

On her Instagram Stories, Janhvi Kapoor shared her sentiments, stating, "This is appalling and enraging. Sick to my stomach about anyone thinking this kind of behaviour is something they can get away with. Intoxicated or not.

The accident occurred around 12:30 am near Muktanand Crossroads in Vadodara's Karelibaug area. Chaurasia's car reportedly collided with multiple two-wheelers, leading to the immediate death of a woman and causing serious injuries to four others.

Eyewitnesses recounted that following the crash, Chaurasia exited his vehicle and was heard shouting, "Another round!" He also allegedly called out a girl's name, "Nikita," before chanting "Om Namah Shivay."

In his defense, Chaurasia claimed that he was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. He attributed the crash to a pothole and the sudden deployment of the car's airbag, which he said obstructed his vision and led to the loss of control. He expressed remorse, stating his desire to meet the victim's family and apologize, acknowledging that merely saying "sorry" felt inadequate given the gravity of the incident.

The local police have taken Chaurasia into custody and are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the exact circumstances leading up to the accident.
