In Andhra, Gemini was the villain, and there was emotional pain with her sister... Savitris daughter Vijaya Chamundeswari.

Actor Gemini Ganesan and actress Savitri had two children: a daughter named Vijaya Chamundeswari and a son named Satheesh Kumar.

Although the biopic of Savitri, Nadigaiyar Thilagam, received great acclaim, it undoubtedly caused division within the Gemini-Savitri family.

In an interview with Indiaglitz viewers, Vijaya Chamundeswari, the daughter of Gemini Ganesan and Nadigaiyar Thilagam Savitri, shared:

"In Andhra, no one knew my father. Everyone knew my mother because she was born in Andhra. People there believed that my mother's problems were because she married my father. They saw my father as a villain in Andhra.

Everyone knows my mother was beautiful, but after she became addicted to alcohol, her face lost its radiance.

My mother received shock treatment, and after that, her condition worsened. She looked burnt and withered.

Both my father and mother were big stars. Social drinking is common in the film industry. It's not true that my father taught my mother to drink.

This film, where Keerthy Suresh acted as my mother, only portrayed my father superficially. He was the one who taught my mother to speak Tamil, ride a horse, and drive a car.

One of the biggest issues was that my mother had a lot of sycophants around her. There was no one to guide her properly, and these people didn't even let my father get close to her.

Keerthy Suresh brought my mother back to life on screen. I once visited the set, and Keerthy was getting dressed. It took a while because she was made to look slightly heavier. After she finished dressing and started walking, I was stunned. I hugged her immediately.

Her walk was just like my mother's. I asked her how she did it, and she said, 'It's nothing special, just a normal walk.' But for her, it came naturally.

When my mother would leave the house for a shoot, she would take a purse filled with money. Fans and the poor would stand on either side of the house gate, asking for help with weddings, their children's education, or illnesses. My mother would generously distribute money to them all."

In this interview, Vijaya Chamundeswari shared many details about her mother, Nadigaiyar Thilagam Savitri, and her father, Gemini Ganesan.
