The movie 'EMI - Maathath Thavanai' is directed, written, and acted by Sadasivam Chinnaraj. It is a comedy-drama produced by Mallayan under the Sabari Productions banner. Sai Dhanya stars as the female lead, along with supporting roles played by Perarasu, Black Paandi, Aadhavan, OAK Sundar, and Lollu Sabha Manohar. The cinematography is done by Francis, and music is composed by Shri Nath Pichai.

The film’s music and trailer launch event took place in Chennai. Speaking at the event, veteran filmmaker K. Bhagyaraj shared insights from his career, stating that he initially had a weak storyline for his first film. However, after starting as an assistant director, he discarded it and instead began creating stories inspired by real-life experiences. He emphasized that movies based on real-life events tend to succeed. He also mentioned that everyone experiences EMI, which has both positive and negative aspects, and its proper utilization is crucial. He further noted that if a story is conveyed with humor, audiences are more likely to support it.

The event was attended by several industry professionals, including directors Aravindaraj and R.V. Udhayakumar, along with actress Devayani.
