The movie 'Dragon' has been receiving a positive response for its trailer. However, many have been comparing it with the film 'Don'. During a promotional interview, the director of 'Dragon', Ashwath Marimuthu, responded to these comparisons.
He stated, "It has been two years since 'Don' was released. Why would anyone remake the same film? I directed 'Oh My Kadavule', a movie loved by audiences, and Pradeep Ranganathan directed and acted in the blockbuster 'Love Today'. Why would we come together to make 'Don 2'?
"Since our film has a college setting, vibrant visuals, and many students, it might look similar to 'Don'. However, the storyline is different. 'Don' is about a rebellious student who later succeeds in life, but 'Dragon' is not about that. There is a big surprise in our movie, which we have kept hidden from the trailer. Once the film is released, people will change their opinions.
"Just as 'Oh My Kadavule' was unique, 'Dragon' will also stand out. My next film with Simbu will also be something different," he added.
'Dragon' is produced by AGS Entertainment and stars Pradeep Ranganathan, Anupama Parameswaran, Kyadu Lohar, Mysskin, K.S. Ravikumar, and Gautham Menon. The movie is directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, with music by Leon James, and is set to release on February 21.
