Survived by his wife Gina and two daughters, Sanjina being the elder one, Gadhvi continued to contribute to Indian cinema with films like Kidnap (2008), Ajab Gazabb Love (2012), and Operation Parindey, his final directorial released in 2020.Abhishek Bachchan, who collaborated with Gadhvi in all three Dhoom films, expressed his shock and grief on Instagram, reminiscing about their shared experiences and acknowledging the pivotal role Gadhvi played in his career. The actor conveyed his deep appreciation for Gadhvi's faith in him and credited the filmmaker for giving him his first-ever hit. In a poignant farewell, Abhishek wrote, "I will cherish your friendship always. Rest in peace my brother." The untimely demise of Sanjay Gadhvi marks the end of an era in Indian filmmaking.
