It's known that sought-after Tollywood film editor Gowtham Raju passed away in the wee hours of Wednesday at the age of 68. The news is that Megastar Chiranjeevi has contributed Rs 2 lakh to Raju's family towards meeting immediate expenses.

It's learned that Raju had been suffering from a kidney-related ailment. He was hospitalized for some days before his death for treatment. After his health condition deteriorated severely, the editor breathed his last.

The 'Acharya' and 'Godfather' actor was deeply saddened on coming to know the news. Owing to his association with Raju, Chiru spoke to the family members of the deceased technician and gave them financial help. Tammareddy Bharadwaj, the veteran filmmaker, handed over the sum to Raju's family members. Chiru also assured them that his support will always be there with them.
