After a long gap, Vikraman is back to wield the megaphone.

Chennai Kadhal directed by Vikraman stars Bharath and Genelia. The movie is based on a city love story. Joshua Sridhar has composed music for the movie which is produced by S Thanu.

Vikraman had hitherto rendered movies packed with sentiments and emotions including Pudhu Vasantham, Vanathaipolae, Suriya Vamsam, Poovae Unakaga and Priyamana Thozhi.

However, Chennai Kadhal is expected to be different, for Vikraman has targeted the youngsters for the first time.

Bharath, who plays the hero in the movie, says, "I am doing a different role in Chennai Kadhal. In fact, it is a totally different film, not only for me but also for director Vikraman. He is known for his family dramas. But, this film is an out-and-out action film."

Vikraman, said, "All my earlier movies had soft themes with emotions interlaced all over. In Chennai Kadhal, I have come out with a romantic entertainer in a youthful package. With a young crew to assist me, I believe the product has come out well. There would be enough action scenes to attract stunt-lovers."

Adding further, Vikraman said, "I have shot a couple of songs abroad. Shooting in foreign locales was economical and time saving than canning the movie in Tamil Nadu!"

Vikraman also thanked Thanu for giving him an opportunity to direct a movie for him.

After Boys, Bharath and Genelia come together.

Genelia is looking to make a comeback in Tamil with a bang. Her recent Telugu release Bommarillu is a blockbuster. So she is in good form.

Joshua's musical score is another major highlight of the movie. Vikraman says, "All the songs have come out well."

With a hit in Em Mahan, Bharath is optimistic that Chennai Kadhal would take him closer to the masses.

He says, "I learnt a lot working with Vikraman. My fans will have a lot to look out for in the movie."
