Director Chandoo Mondeti is one of the talented filmmakers in Telugu. Having made his debut with the film Karthikeya, Chandoo went on to become a successful director. He teamed up with Naga Chaitanya with twice and is gearing up for a third film. Titled Thandel, the duo is hoping to score a big hit.

Interestingly, Chandoo Mondeti emerged as a successful pan-Indian filmmaker with his last film Karthikeya 2. It became a big hit across the nation and elevated hero Nikhil's career. Simulatenously, Chandoo Mondeti also gained a pan-India appeal with the film's success. Now, he aims to continue his success form with his next film Thandel.

Chandoo and Chay earlier did Savyasachi and Premam, both of which are romantic dramas. This time, the makers decided to focus on a real-life drama. The film is based on the Srikakulam based fishermen who were captured by Pakisthan cops.

Chandoo Mondeti is a good story-teller who aced the commercial format. With Thandel, he comes up with ample portions of emotion, action and romance. The director's last film is a hit across pan-India and he plans to cater the same audiences with similar elements. Interestingly, there is a devotional song, Namo Namah Shivaya. There are action sequences and the romantic track of Chay and Sai Pallavi is also expected to capture the attention.

Altogether, Thandel has all elements that would work at the box office, elevating Chandoo Mondeti as the successful filmmaker at the pan-India level.

Thandel is hitting the screens on February 7th.
