Ever since the trailer of Thalapathy Vijay's new biggie 'Beast' landed on April 2nd there have been speculations on social media that its a copy of a few films such as 'Gurkha' and 'Die Hard' and the international web series 'Money Heist'. Nelson Dilipkumar the writer- director of the film made it clear that he too saw 'Gurkha' and its not the same story and also that there is no connection between his film and 'Monesy Heist'.

Nelson also added that both his previous films 'Kolamavu Kokila' and 'Doctor' turned out to be different from what the trailers suggested and 'Beast' too would surprise both Vijay fans and general audiences.

Meanwhile pressmen caught up with Yogi Babu and posed the question whether 'Beast' is copied from 'Gurkha'. In his humorous style the busy comedy hero stated that like all Vijay films this too will be a super hit and bypassed the question.

'Beast' has music by Anirudh and is produced by Sun Pictures with Vijay, Pooja Hegde, Yogi Babu, Aparna Das and Selvaraghavan in principal characters. The film hits the screens worldwide on April 13th in just two days time when it will make it clear if the speculations are correct or unfounded.
