13 years of love and support but Meena initially rejected late husband Vidyasagar

Veteran actress Meena's husband Vidyasagar passed away on June 28th night at the age of 48 after battling lung issues for the past few months. His lungs were said to have been damaged due to him coming into contact with pigeon droppings infected air that some people cannot tolerate and devolop allergies that turn into serious infection.

Meena and Vidyasagar got married on 12th July 2009 and they have a ten year old daughter Nainika who is also an actress who starred alongside Thalapathy Vijay in 'Theri' directed by Atlee. The mother and daughter are in mourning after cremating Vidyasagar's body on June 29th.

Meena on many occassions has shared that her husband and her had a very loving domestic life and he was especially a great support when she continued her television and movie career after marriage. During a reality show that she participated as a judge, she also revealed that she initially rejected Vidyasagar when the alliance came up.

According to the talented actress when her family was looking for a suitable groom the horoscope that matched her was that of Vidyasagar. When she met him and spoke to him she was not very much impressed due to their different professions and views and after a few days she let him know that too. Vidyasagar gracefully accepted her decision and wishes her all the best.

However it was one of Meena's aunts who strictly told her that she is missing out on a good person and she later agreed to marry him and never regretted it. Film industry friends of Meena in their tributes have vouched that she could not have gotten a better person than him and the same for daughter Nainika as well. They swear that the duo will miss his love and support for the rest of their lives.
