The court recently issued an order to confiscate Annai Illam, the residence of legendary actor Sivaji Ganesan. In response, actor Prabhu has filed a petition requesting the cancellation of this order.
The issue stems from a financial dispute involving Sivaji Ganesan's grandson, Dushyan, who took a loan of ₹3.75 crore for the production of the film Jagajala Killadi. Due to non-repayment, legal proceedings were initiated, leading to the court's decision to seize Annai Illam.
Earlier, Sivaji Ganesan's eldest son, Ramkumar, had also filed a petition arguing that the house legally belongs to his brother, Prabhu. Now, Prabhu has personally intervened, stating in his petition, "Annai Illam was legally transferred to me through my father’s will, with the consent of my siblings. I was shocked to learn of the confiscation order, which is unrelated to me. This action should be revoked."
The case is expected to be heard in court soon.
