Boy's Bharat , Autograph fame Gopika and Pranathi of Gambeeram come together in 4 students . This is a remake of the superhit malayalam film 4 the people . Many are under the impression that the film is a dubbed version but in reality thirty percent of the film has been re shot in Chennai locales for the Tamil version. Yet another added feature is that R D Rajsekar the cameraman of khaka khaka is the cinematographer of the film. The audio of the film recently released was a big hit . Music director Jassie Gift sang the hit song `Lajjawathy'. It is being repeatedly being aired on channels . Director Jayaraj, Producer Johny Sagarika, cinematographer RD Rajshekar were present at the audio release of 4 students. Speaking about his film getting ready for release in Tamil, Jayaraj, who has so far directed over 20 films in Malayalam, director, well known for his classical movies like Deshadanam and Kaliyattam won the national award for the best direction, says 'For a long time I wanted to direct a Tamil film. Now my dream is getting realized with 4 Students.'"

The film has shades of Rammana since it deals with a group operating incognito against the corrupt. Unlike in Ramana where Vijaykanth heads the group , 4 students do not have a group leader. The film is about four-college students who run a website `4 the people'. Anybody who keys in tales of atrocities or reports of corruption get justice from the four students. Riding mobikes and wearing helmets these youth strike terror in the hearts of the corrupt. The fight does not end with corruption but even reach out to those indulging in domestic violence. The film ends with the four students getting shot in an encounter. The climax in which more students come forward to take up the mission and foil the attempt by the cops. The film created unprecedented response from the student community.

The Tamil viewers will get to see the dancing skill of Bharat . Speaking about the Lajawathy song Cinematographer Rajashekar says 'I gave my best for the movie. Especially, shooting Lajjavathiyae was a great experience. We shot the song for over 11 days. The audience has liked the song picturisation very much. Editing by Anthony, lyrics by Palani Bharathy and N Muthukumar, the dialogues are written by Gokula Krishna.

The movie will be released by the end of July, says Johny Sagarika.
