Ranbir turns Rocking winner; Vidya wins for being Dirty - Filmfare Awards

It was time to sparkle; it was a time to applause. A time to cheer, entertain and enjoy 57th Idea Filmfare Awards was no less than a venue of grandeur and excitement. Amidst the presence of stars, the show was unfolded by the two heartthrobs of B-town  Shah Rukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor. With their smart charm and quirky humour, the two saw that they maintained the fun and excitement level throughout the evening. While award distribution remained the highlight of the event, the audience was treated with remarkable doses of entertainment by several celebrity performances at regular intervals.
Coming to the main section It was Ranbir Kapoor, Vidya Balan and Zoya Akhtar all the way While RanbirÂs rocking performance in ÂRockstar earned him two black ladies, Vidya proved that being dirty in impressive way can bag acclaim. Not only he bagged the Best Actor Award for ÂRockstarÂ, Ranbir even got a bonus trophy by winning the Critics Award for Best Actor (Male) for the same, Imtiaz Ali movie. On the other hand, Vidya Balan received the Best Actress award for ÂThe Dirty PictureÂ.
While ÂZindagi Na Milegi Dobara was hailed as the Best Film, its helmer Zoya Akhtar bagged the Best Director Award. The awards didnÂt stop with these  for, the film also received the Best Film (Critics) Award, Farhan Akhtar bagged award for Best Dialogue and he also won Best Supporting Actor.
An emotional Aruna Irani received the Lifetime Achievement Award, from Ramesh Sippy and Raveena Tandon. Calling it a very touching and the happiest moment of her life, Irani thanked Dilip Kumar for introducing her to the world of cinema at the age of nine.
